Beat Six release their first single in March on Brass Monkey Music entitled "When
the Chemicals Ignite with Fuel" and have just signed to Momentum
Management who will be handling their affairs.
Beat Six is the most exciting
talent we have seen at the local roller-disco since Bernie Edwards joined
Echo and the Bunnyment on bass and hired Terry Hall as front-man whilst
wearing skinny fit jeans and a JD Sports hoodie. Beat Six have been together
under various guises since all going to school together in Staines and
have been rehearsing regularly since trying to find that high-energy,
jittery jagged, soul-powered and smeared in chocolate guitar pop that
they now have turned into their hallmark.
The single was recorded by Tristan Ivemy at Milico studios in London
who has just also finished working with The Holloways and The Towers
of London. The final mastering was done by John Davis at Alchemy Soho
(one or, if not the most in-demand mastering engineers in London, with
recent work including the Arctic Monkeys, Friendly Fires and Led Zeppelin's
Mothership).
With a bunch of great new songs and a ferocious live set being showcased
in London over the coming months it is easy to see why more and more
people are talking about Beat Six".
